Coastal College of Nursing concentrates solely on basic nursing education for entry into professional nursing practice. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX licensure exam. Florida is a compact state.

The Diploma program of study instructional mode of delivery is blended with course lectures being conveyed via virtual platforms and/or on the Coastal College of Nursing’s campus via seated in-person sessions.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students applying to the Practical Nursing program must complete the following admissions steps:

  • Attend a nursing information session
  • Complete and submit a CCN application via admin@coastalcollegeofnursing.com or click on ENROL NOW
  • Submit high school and college transcripts to the Student Information and Records office
  • Meet requirements for the College admissions
  • Attend a Connect Session. The orientation requirement is waived if a student receives 12 or more transferable college credit hours.
  • Meet with an advisor located in the CCN advising office or a faculty nursing advisor. Students are required to follow these steps to apply to the PN clinical classes. 50% or higher TEAS scores are a requirement.

Our Jacksonville campus is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, License Number 12653. The Practical Nurse program is licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing.
